Here are just a few samples of the over 500 cards I have made so far. There is a good variety and I am putting together packs of 6 (blank inside) photo notecards with envelopes for $15.00. One learning curve for me is technology. It is my hope that I soon have an Etsy shop with pay pal, I just need to learn how :).
I would appreciate any comments you may have so I have an idea of just how soon I need to learn it! If there is any interest so far, I will stop creating cards (temporarily) and start learning how to really sell them via the internet. Thanks for visiting my blog! You can also share with me your blog and your passion, I would love to learn about you!
Looks good, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteI think it's time you set up the Etsy shop. It isn't as hard as you may envision. You will get the hang of it just like you did setting up your blog.
Thanks Teresa, I will focus on that next!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie! I just read your post on Teresa's blog, and have become one of your followers here! As a budding photographer and one who is soon returning to school to study graphic design, I'm very interested in your work and your process! I can also relate to your feelings of anxiety about learning new technologies. Until a year and a half ago, I was very much a technophobe. Well into my 30's, I still used a flip-phone, didn't belong to Facebook, and had no idea what a blog was. I'm amazed at how far I've come; I know for sure that if someone had told me back then that I'd be entering a field such as graphic design, which is done almost completely on computers, I would've laughed in their face! Blogging has completely changed my life, and I think you will soon feel much more confident in your skills. I think you definitely need to join Etsy and start putting your work out there!:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement Jenny! I appreciate it. I do need to get into Etsy, I need to take the time to figure out how that will work. I have so many cards, I can't imagine putting them all on Etsy, then I think of which ones should I do? Then I think about watermarking each one and I freeze on the "that's a lot to consider and I don't have the time" excuse. I know it will happen. I wish you luck in your graphic design class. I took a couple photoshop classes but I can't really figure out photoshop when I am on my own outside the class. Teresa has done a lot with photoshop. She makes full scrapbook pages all digital through photoshop. I will check out your blog as well. Thanks again!
